I recently read one article about email marketing tips for marketers. It is a great article to give your idea to rethink which email campaign could be more efficiently. I got a plenty of commercial email every day, but I cannot read it all. I delete most of it. I think most people did the same way unless the email could attract you by some reasons. If you are marketer, you need to understand which approach or method could let consumer buy your emails instead of opening others. Smartphones and tablets becomes our daily life, most of people use smartphone for many functions. 91% of people who use smartphones or tablets to access email.   1. Stop treating your customers like nameless faces

Customers wants to be treated as unique human beings. No one will read “hi, all” email, they want to be special and customized. So, treat your customer personally, and use the feedback you are getting to segment your email list. Since customers can tell whether you really take care of them. So email should be more personalized as personal emails.

  1. Change the sales funnel based on the customer’s journey

You cannot treat everyone in the same way. Understand your customer’s journey is more important within field of marketing. People read the email because they get interested. You need to understand what consumers are looking for.

Test campaigns are also necessary.  Little change could effect a huge difference. You can change your subject, tagline, or even colors to set up testing campaign. So keep this in mind, when you do the campaign you can run A/B testing campaigns to check which one has more click rate.

  1. Give your customers space

No one want to force to do something. Everyone like freedom. So give your customers break and do not send email every day. Customers know you like them, but don’t let your kindness destroy your own customers.

  1. Don’t rely on automation

Automation is fast and convenient but do not rely on it. You still need to align with your company to create email campaign.

  1. Solve the “opt Out” problem with a break

There is no surprise people opting out of mail list faster than before. Since most companies use email marketing to reach their customers. So how to keep your customer stay in your mail list? The article mentioned that you could add a form that allows people to reduce how often they receive your emails. Its kind of give out the options to customers and let them decide how often they want to receive the email.

Like I mentioned before, many people use phone to access email. Therefore, get ready for mobile! This means all emails should looks on the mobile as perfect as on laptop.
